I’ve owned my home for two years now and sometimes I feel like it is the worst decision I made .. buying a home. between trees falling down in the first four months to a hail storm causing roof damage .. the ‘disasters’ seem endless. not to mention now I am the one responsible for the yard. I do love yard work!! just finding the time to enjoy it is impossible.

but then there are those times that I sit in my monochromatic living room and I smile. I own my home .. this palette is mine to do as I please. yes, my house has white walls, white curtains, white sofas .. I dream in color and my Pinterest boards are FULL of colorful ideas for inside and outside of the home; but the idea of choosing the wrong color is scary. anyone else afraid of choosing the wrong color? loving it in a photo but hating it in real life?

I know I just need to jump in and do it. no sense in testing the waters so to speak, I need to take the plunge. currently my kitchen cabinets have color swatches painted on them. I have chosen a color and once the weather warms up outside I will take the doors off and get to work. what are some of your favorite kitchen design schemes?
